WELL, whats up?
Well, we are sorry to say but we are discontinuing our markets at the ARTesian Well as the
vision and implementation of the Well's development plan firm up. We
have been actively participating in discussions about the Well and at
this point are rather discouraged about our standing there. The current
plan only gives us room for 15-18 vendors in the southeast corner of the
lot, which we do not feel is enough to make the Make Olympia Market viable or very
visible. Perhaps this will change but perhaps not and so we are
reassessing what we do and where we need to go to create a lasting
artisan market presence in Olympia.New ideas are welcome. Maybe the perfect place for the market is obvious to you. Please share!

Spring Arts Walk
Spring Artswalk is upon us. On Friday April 26th we will be in yet another NEW LOCATION. You might think we like all this moving around, like we’re nomadic, but actually we would LOVE to find a permanent location to grow our market.Look for us in the street again. This time on 5th Ave. between Franklin and Adams near Art House Designs, Oly Vegan and Rainy Day Records. We have an awesome list of vendors coming to fill both sides of the block. Booths will be open from 4pm until 10 pm, Friday night only!
We are also excited for our proximity to the beginning of the
If anyone reading this has the inclination to help us set up on Friday
afternoon, contact us soon. PLEASE! This is a labor of love, but wow,

upcoming events!
Our only summer market planned for this year will be a partnership with the Love our Local festival. This will take place Sunday August 25th from 1 to 8pm. Our market will be part of the community celebration in the Northeast neighborhood, at the intersection of San Fran and Bethel. This will be the third year of this event and it gets better every year. We are excited for the collaboration with many other local groups. The events theme is threefold: to cultivate community, dwell in possibility and to share our gifts. There will be music, speakers and skill sharing demos all day. Please make sure to join the fun.Our location for Fall Artswalk is entirely up in the air. We do know the dates as October 4th and 5th. Once again: suggestions/support welcome!
Our final market of the year will be the beloved Lincoln Winter Market at Lincoln Elementary School. This is scheduled for Saturday Nov. 30th. We especially love our collaboration with the school community. This highlights how that when there is support, success is so much easier to reach and everyone has a chance to thrive.
We believe that Olympia needs a viable makers market. There are so many good reasons for this. We are getting tired of how hard it seems to be to create this reality.
